Shanghai Jiao Tong University Leaders Meet with President Sabine Rein of HTWG Konstanz

On September 15, 2025, Vice President Liu Weidong of Shanghai Jiao Tong University met with President Sabine Rein of Konstanz University of Applied Sciences (HTWG Konstanz) and her delegation at the Minhang Campus.

Vice President Liu warmly welcomed President Rein and her team, introducing the university’s recent progress in disciplinary development and global strategy. He noted that the two institutions have established a solid foundation of cooperation in foreign languages and the humanities, and expressed the hope of further expanding and deepening collaboration in engineering, interdisciplinary studies, and sustainable development. He also proposed exploring more joint programs and student exchange initiatives.

President Rein reviewed the longstanding history of cooperation between the two universities and highlighted their achievements in joint talent cultivation. She expressed her wish to further advance collaboration in sustainable technologies, engineering education, faculty and student exchanges, and interdisciplinary research—working toward a more comprehensive partnership in the future.

Leaders from the School of Humanities, the School of Foreign Languages, and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange also attended the meeting.
